Following the success of the 2019 productions of Les Indes Galantes and Hippolyte et Aricie, Ensemble OrQuesta return to the John McIntosh Arts Centre in Fulham, London with another opera French baroque opera. This time with this very unknown piece by early XVII century female composer Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre.

The Academy will take place from the 21st - 31st July with two final showcase performances at 7pm on the 30th and 31st July.

Each Academy participant performs at least one performance of a role in the fully staged production of the opera, in original language, with the accompaniment of the Ensemble OrQuesta professional baroque ensemble and harpsichord. 

The Academy course is led by Ensemble OrQuesta founder Marcio da Silva, and early music specialist Stephanie Gurga. Professional stage photos are taken at the dress rehearsals.

Tuition fee: £650 (does not include accommodation)

Soprano: Procris, Flore, Nymphs, L'Aurore, Iphis, Dorine
Haute-Contre: Céphale, Nerée
Bass / Baritone: Borée; Erictée
