After the continued success of Le Nozze di Figaro in 2016, Don Giovanni in 2017 and Cosi fan Tutte in 2018, Ensemble OrQuesta will again take their opera academy to Hastings in partnership with the Hastings Philharmonic. This year's opera will be Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute).

The Academy will take place from May 23th - June 2nd in Hastings with performances at St Mary in the Castle on the 1st and 2nd of June 2019.

Each participant will perform at least one performance of a role in a fully staged production of the opera in German (English dialogues) with the accompaniment of the Hastings Philharmonic Ensemble (7 players).

The course will be led by Marcio da Silva and Neylson Crepalde. Singers will be coached on style, technique, pronunciation, acting and movement. Professional pictures will be taken from both dress rehearsals.
